Dallas Cowboys announce the signing of veteran Von Miller to a one-year, $5.5 million deal on Sunday. NFL insider Ian Rapoport announced the news Monday.

Dallas has made moves this offseason following an NFL season where they were ranked 32nd in points allowed in 2025 at 30.1 ppg, according to www.statmuse.com. He joins vets Rashan Gary and Donovan Ezeiruaku on that defensive side to keep pressure on opposing Quarterbacks.

First-round rookie Malachi Lawrence will have plenty of help in getting caught up to the world of the NFL with veteran presence of that group.

Miller is currently the only active player in the top 10 in career sacks at 138.5, according to profootballreference.com. The next closest active player is Saints' Defensive End Cam Jordan at 17.

In 2025, Miller played for the Washington Commanders starting three of 17 games. He garnered 26 total tackles and nine sacks, per espn.com. Those nine sacks led Washington last year and is the highest amount since a 9.5 sack performance between Denver and the Rams in 2021.

To this point, he has 606 total tackles, 138.5 sacks, 27 forced fumbles. nine recoveries, two interceptions and a touchdown, per espn.com. Miller has made eight pro bowls and three All-Pro teams over his nine seasons with the Broncos.

In 2020, he sat because of an ankle injury and then he was traded from Denver to the Los Angeles Rams during the 2021 season, where he would win his first Super Bowl against the Bengals. He then spent 2022-2024 with the Bills and saw some success. He had two seasons where he totaled six or more sacks.
