  Packers’ Josh Jacobs released from custody following incident Packers running back Josh Jacobs picture: abcnews.com  Packers’ running back Josh Jacobs was released from Brown County Jail after he was arrested on Tuesday following an incident at his Hobart, Wisconsin home.  Jacobs was arrested Tuesday, May 26 after the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department responded to a disturbance complaint on May 23. The charges were domestic violence related. He was charged with Felony strangulation and suffocation, Battery domestic abuse, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct and intimidation of a victim, according to an article by cbssports.com .  Following his release on Wednesday, Jacobs’ attorneys said they were “extremely pleased” that Jacobs was released from custody with no charges filed against him. Florida Governor Ron Desantis signs Teddy Bridgewater Act  Teddy Bridgewater with the Lions credit: heavy.com Florida Governor Ron Desantis signed the Teddy Bridgewater act into law Friday after it was unanimously voted 38-0 on February 20, 2026.  The Teddy Bridgewater Act allows high school coaches throughout the state to care for the welfare of the student-athletes. They can help with things such as paying for food, transportation and recovery services, according to nfl.com .  Florida Senate passed the bill back in February of this year by a vote of 38-0. It was inspired by NFL veteran Teddy Bridgewater after a 2025 incident at his alma mater, Miami Northwestern High School. The deal is set to come with a fifth year option the Steelers would be eligible to exercise after his third season, per yardbarker.com .  Iheanachor was a redshirt senior in 2025. He played and started all 12 games during the season.   Jets, Rusher Breece Hall agree to three-year deal Jets’ Breece Hall will avoid the non-exclusive franchise tag heading into the 2026 season as he signs a three-year contract extension. The Jets locked up the former second round draft pick on Friday, extending him through the 2029 season. The contract is a three-year deal worth $45.7 million and $29 million guaranteed.  In the 2025 season, Hall was productive. The 2025 season was the first time Hall became a thousand yard rusher in the league since entering in 2022. In 16 games this season, he had 248 carries, 1,065 rush yards and four touchdowns. This is what his career looks like currently four years into his career. \   Stefon Diggs found not guilty in assault trial Pro bowl receiver Stefon Diggs was acquitted on assault charges Tuesday following a December 2025 incident.  Diggs was found not guilty on felony strangulation, misdemeanor assault and battery charges following an incident with his personal chef, Jamila Adams on December 2, 2025. The incident took place in Diggs’ home in Dedham, Massachusetts.  Adams stated that she approached Diggs over not paying her the week of November 7-14. She claims that Diggs then entered her unlocked room, became angry and then hit her with an open hand, followed by choking her.  Diggs denied the allegations after Adams filed a police report on December 22, 2025. She filed criminal charges afterwards. She states that the incident occurred after she became upset when she wasn’t allowed to attend a planned trip with friends to Miami.  Diggs’ defense suggests Adams “curated” her messages to police to support her story.   Campbell returns to Baltimore on one-year deal The Baltimore Ravens sign a familiar name in veteran Defensive lineman Calais Campbell who is going into his 19th NFL season.  The six-time pro bowl lineman signed his one-year, $5.5 million deal on Thursday. Campbell currently is 39 years old, turning 40 on September 1. During the 2025 season while with the Arizona Cardinals, Campbell had 43 total tackles, 6.5 sacks and two passes defended while playing in all 17 games.  The veteran enters 2026 in his second stint with the Ravens, having first played with them in 2020-2022. In 2020 Campbell made his last pro bowl appearance while only appearing in 12 games that year. In those 12 games, Campbell had 28 tackles, four sacks, six defended passes and three stuffs.  When looking at his stats with the Ravens, this is how it stacks up.   Texans, LB Azeez Al-Shaair agree to 3-year deal The Houston Texans have wasted no time this offseason keeping their defense bolstered for the 2026 season. Houston re-signed pro bowl Linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair to a three-year, $54 million deal.  Al-Shaair had a productive year throughout the 2025 campaign. In 16 games, he had 103 total tackles, 48 of those were solo. Al-Shaair had 2 interceptions, a forced fumble and a recovery.  As far as production, 2025 is joined by his 2023 campaign with the Tennessee Titans where he played in all 17 games with 163 total tackles, 84 were solo. He also had 2 sacks and a recovered fumble that year. His 2021 campaign with the San Francisco 49ers was another high-production year. He had 102 total tackles and 58 solo.
